The CAAWP list is for the discussion of research and issues in the scientific study of credibility assessment and witness psychology. It is expected that the list discussion will include cooperative problem solving and running commentary regarding the scientific study of credibility assessment and witness psychology.

The list will also be used for pre-convention and pre-publication release of research findings and for running commentary on those findings. Expected topics include, but are not limited to:

• psychophysiological detection of deception
• statement validity assessment
• eyewitness abilities and weaknesses
• witness memory
• repressed memory controversy
• special problems associated with child witnesses
• general role of scientific psychology in courts of law
